Syria is at a crucial turning point in its recent history after the fall of the Al-Assad regime, with many challenges still ahead. 14 years of conflict have left 7 mill. people internally displaced and 16 mill. in need of humanitarian assistance. With increasing movements of Syrian refugee families returning to the country with minimal resources, a critical socio-economic situation and a winter that further complicates the situation, immediate assistance is urgently needed to protect them.

For more than 30 years, Scooby has been providing shelter to abandoned and mistreated animals. In the 90's we brought to light the atrocities inflicted on galgos (Spanish greyhounds). At present, we are the biggest shelter in Spain, currently homing more than 1000 dogs and cats and 200 farm animals. Our resources are very limited and we depend mainly on the donations. From monkeys released from laboratories, to bigcats and camels retired from circus, or animals seized by the authorities: La Tanière takes in, shelters, cares for, rehabilitates and protects any animal in distress. Since our creation and thanks to the support of our donors, La Tanière has been able to save 1540 animals, carry out 141 emergency interventions, more than 626 medical interventions, and rehome 610 animals.
