The Island of Hope is an association for animals (dogs and cats).This non-profit organization protects the rights and welfare of animals abandoned and/or abused.Our mission is to save abandoned animals and animals in risk situations in our region. We want to save them,give them a temporary shelter,treat the sick ones, vaccinate them and finally find new,responsible owners.Our Association sensibilises the public over the serious problem of animal overpopulation and the importance of sterilization
“The Island of hope” is located in the village of Ciobanovca at 40km of Chisinau,Moldova and is home to approximately 150 dogs/cats.Each animal has its own story of how it arrived at the shelter.Many are severely injured and in need of veterinary care after being hit by cars or suffering cruelty at the hands of people,which is unfortunately very common.We are constantly in need of money for the purchases of medicine,food and other necessities.The funds are conveyed through a private account

One of the most important steps is behind us. Land parcel for new center has been acquired.
Land is not ideal (long and a little narrow), but will accommodate all plans – it is very near Chisinau, good size, not far from the point where electricity can be hooked up, artesian well can be established, very good access, the road right to the future gate.
