La Asociación Solidaria de Cooperantes Universitarios Andaluza (ASCUA) nace a finales de 2014 como herramienta de autoaprendizaje y como plataforma desde la que cualquier persona, con inquietudes en Cooperación, Educación o Comunicación para el Desarrollo, pudiera llevar a cabo sus iniciativas con el apoyo de otras personas con sus mismas inquietudes y con formación especializada. The de-eucalyptization brigades organize and coordinate environmental volunteering actions in collaboration with owners of land with environmental values degraded or threatened by eucalyptization and other invasive exotic species. By eradicating these species and replacing them with other autochthonous ones of high ecosystemic value with the aim that the affected areas do not burn again and that they help as protective zones, serving as green firebreaks and biodiversity corridors.
