We are volunteers caring for the feral cats on the urbanisations of Entre Naranjos, Laguna Green and Vistabella Golf in Orihuela, Alicante. The colonies are registered with the council, and we are licensed carers, but we get no financial help. So sterilisation, veterinary care and food is provided by ourselves and donations. We aim to control the size of the colonies by neutering the cats. Donations will help us do this, for the wellbeing of the cats and kittens, local wildlife and residents.
We have sterilised over 60% of the cats in our colonies and rehomed 14 cats and kittens. Sadly not all the cats are homeable and homes are in short supply so we continue to care for the cats still living freely as best we can. We will used the money collected from our teamers to continue sterilisations, vet care and feeding of these cats. We are currently trying out food designed for the needs of feral cats which is high in energy, and especially useful during the winter months.

We have now sterilised over 60% of the cats in the colonies on our urbanisations and taken 14 cats off the streets and found them safe loving homes. Sadly not all feral cats are homeable and homes are in short supply. So we also care for the cats and kittens who are still living freely as best we can. One of the ways we do this is by feeding them special food designed for the needs of feral cats, which is especially useful in the winter as it is high in energy. Sadly in winter we don't get so many donations and so we will be using some of the money raised by our wonderful teamers to be able to continue to buy this food for them, aswell as continuing with sterilisations.
