The Chat Libre 12 association located in La Primaube (Aveyron), works to sterilize and treat street cats, and take care of sociable cats and kittens to put them up for adoption. Between 2016 and 2021 more than 700 cats were sterilized, and around 1800 cats and kittens were taken in for adoption. Since 2019, a pound shelter has offered additional accommodation for its proteges and allows adopters to meet a greater number of cats for adoption.
