El centro es el único especializado en diversidad funcional pediátrica en Guinea Bissau. En 2020 se construyó un centro de atención a menores con diversidad funcional. Este espacio y el equipo formado para su gestión reúne las características necesarias para apoyar a menores con necesidades especiales y sus familias en los últimos años. Atendemos menores con diferentes diagnósticos (parálisis cerebral, epilepsia, síndrome de down y otras alteraciones del desarrollo)

Menores con Diversidad Funcional

The Childhood Rehabilitation and Development Center serves children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders (cerebral palsy, microcephaly, hydrocephalus, trisomy 21, among others). Each of the children who enter the program has an individual plan designed together with the families and with the commitment of the technical team, which includes: Evaluation, intervention and accompaniment in a team with multidisciplinary capabilities (medical, neuropsychology, physiotherapy, language, social service and family counseling). Assessment, intervention and accompaniment of a socio-economic nature, carried out by a social team that identifies the needs of the families of the Center's users and translates it, for example, into microcredit to start small businesses, food support; rehabilitation of spaces and equipment in the homes.
