CARPE Rescue Shelter

CARPE (Care.Adopt.Rescue.Protect.Educate) is a non-profit animal rescue organization from Bucharest, Romania. The mission is to help animals in need, sterilize, looking for proper homes for them, but also educate next generations about animals protection. CARPE has a private shelter for about 200 homeless dogs, 40 cats , 4 rabbits and 1 rescued cow. We save lives every day, but we need constant help to keep going. CARPE – Care. Adopt. Rescue. Protect. Educate. Animal rescue in Romania is a never-ending activity. All the time we find abandoned dogs and cats which need care, food and safety. Since 2016 CARPE hosted over 1000 dogs and over 50 cats, most of them rescued from very difficult environments and situations. Almost 800 of our rescues were adopted and left to their forever homes. We have a shelter close to Bucharest, built in the middle of nature, near a forest and a river, a place where dogs and cats can find safety and care while being promoted for adoption. Some of the dogs we rescue are shy or simply never get a request to be adopted. For these dogs, CARPE is their forever home and they rely on their rescuer to provide daily care, food, water and any necessary veterinary treatments.
