AXARQUIA ANIMAL RESCUE is a registered charity in Southern Spain, run by volunteers and dedicated to saving lives and re-homing abandoned and abused animals. We have rescued and rehomed nearly 5,000 animals in the past 13 years and there are so many more that need our help. Our monthly kennel and vet bills are in the region of 5,000 euros a month, often more. We receive no government funding and rely on donations to enable us to continue our work. We need your help.

We are volunteer animal rights activists. We try to help wherever help is needed. In smaller villages in Bulgaria, Serbia and Romania we take care of street cats and dogs. We support personally known animal rights activists and veterinarians with money for castration, medical care and feed. Through systematic castration campaigns we try to reduce the "replenishment" of animals on the street and in the shelter hells.

Dear friends, there is so much suffering with so many animals that it is impossible to help everyone and everywhere. So I thought about just collecting a little money and throwing it into a pot that I would like to call emergency funds. So maybe it is possible to support one or the other emergency. For reasons of transparency, everything that comes in or goes out is listed on this homepage https://www.matos-tierhilfe.de.
