Calico Association is a non-profit organization composed of a group of volunteers active throughout the Lazio region. Our objective? Not to leave any needy animal alone. In Nepi our growing community of volunteers spays/neuters, shelters, cares for, and facilitates adoptions for an increasing number of animals in the area. In Rome, we manage the 370 cats hosted at the ValleGrande shelter. We take care of their well-being and promote the adoption of cats and dogs housed in the facility.

Bring a cat to his forever home at the cost of a coffee!

As the Associazione Calico, we take care of the cats at the Valle Grande shelter in Rome, but we also welcome many cats who are injured, sick, or abandoned in the area. We host them also in our cattery in Nepi (VT), we take care of them, and we find them a forever home. But often their new family isn't in Rome! Our team of volunteers organizes trips throughout central and northern Italy, accompanying our cats by train and ensuring they arrive safely to their adoptive families. The volunteers are part of Team Coccardine, so if you see a carrier with a ribbon while traveling by train... Well, that's us! With the cost of a coffee per month, you can contribute to travel expenses and help a cat leave the cattery and have a second chance.
