San Jerónimo Park, Seville, has become a benchmark for sustainability thanks to the “Biosegadoras” program, an initiative that uses goats to ecologically manage the maintenance of vegetation in its meadows. Promoted by Ecologistas en Acción since 2005, this project integrates ecological livestock practices that eliminate the use of chemical products and promote natural feeding of animals.
San Jerónimo Park, Seville, has become a benchmark for sustainability thanks to the "Biosegadoras" program, an initiative that uses goats to ecologically manage the maintenance of vegetation in its meadows. Promoted by Ecologistas en Acción since 2005, this project integrates ecological livestock practices that eliminate the use of chemical products and promote natural feeding of animals. This program does not have any financial aid. The funds raised will go to the Ecologistas en Acción - Seville livestock program, specifically the care, maintenance and reproduction of Payoya goats. This native Andalusian breed constitutes the soul of an Urban EcoFarm in the heart of the capital of Seville. The proceeds will be used to cover veterinary costs, occasional supplementary organic feeding, maintenance and renovation of fences, feeders, etc. See vídeo https://nube.ecologistasenaccion.org/s/8csGkTXPGWbWY7D
