Among the projects carried out by the Rufina Ortega Association, we highlight the Carmen Pilar Soup Kitchen, which helps improve the quality of life of people with economic and social difficulties. We provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and we distribute food from Tuesday to Friday for families and individuals in precarious economic situations and the homeless.
Rufina Ortega Association. We are a non-profit association founded in 2013, based in the municipality of Las Gabias, Granada, and operating in Andalusia, primarily in the province of Granada. Our goals are focused on the reception, assistance, aid, integration, promotion, and reintegration of socially excluded individuals and groups with economic hardship, from the perspective of gender equality and equity. We have two main areas of operation: the Carmen Pilar Soup Kitchen, which distributes prepared meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—daily to people experiencing homelessness and precarious situations, and we distribute basic food items from Tuesday to Friday. Another area of operation is through the Rastro Solidario (Farmhouse), where clothing, household goods, and other basic necessities are distributed. The funds raised at the Rastro Solidario (Farmhouse) finance a small portion of the Carmen Pilar Soup Kitchen.
