Somos uma jovem associação de Badajoz que trabalha pelo AMBIENTE. Realizamos atividades de educação ambiental, pesquisas científicas para conhecer a situação de espécies ameaçadas e ações de Conservação da Biodiversidade. Atualmente realizamos um projeto de educação ambiental na Extremadura e colaboramos com um projeto multidisciplinar de conservação de micro-zonas húmidas, BIOASIS DEL SUR, com outras associações conservacionistas do resto da península.
The project consists of creating a network of private farms that function as biodiversity hotspots in Extremadura. The initiative seeks to restore the local landscape using native species, creating suitable and connected habitats for fauna and flora, restoring vegetation in canals and streams, removing invasive species, and building refuges for various animal species. Among the project's most notable actions are the planting of Mediterranean species, the creation of artificial ponds to increase water and humidity, and the installation of refuges for mammals, birds, and insects. BioINNOVA embraces an educational and participatory approach, involving volunteers and farm owners, and has successfully planted more than 1,000 trees and shrubs in its first year of collaboration with other organizations. All of this contributes to the resilience of local ecosystems and fosters greater ecological connectivity in the region.
