ASARGA was founded in December 2020 by a group of patients and their families to ensure that no one faces sarcoma alone. Our mission is to combat the misinformation and fear surrounding this little-known disease by offering support, guidance, and resources to help people navigate the process. We promote clinical research, collaborate with healthcare organizations, and work to raise awareness in order to achieve early diagnoses and improve the lives of those affected and their families.
All funds raised go entirely toward supporting ASARGA, ensuring that no family has to face sarcoma alone. Our work offers comprehensive support ranging from Case Management—facilitating second opinions with expert oncologists and advising on referrals to specialized centers (CSUR)—to ongoing support from Social Work to manage resources, financial aid, and benefits. We promote holistic well-being by facilitating access to specialized services in oncology psychology, nutrition, physical therapy, and legal counseling, as well as workshops on physical conditioning and dermatology. Our mission is to alleviate the burden of the disease by providing financial assistance and accommodation arrangements for medical travel, while always fostering connections among peers through our support groups and various activities.
