Providing support at school and at home for vulnerable children in Ethiopia

NORU, an NGO that manages projects to support children at risk of social exclusion in Ethiopia. Children from families without resources run the risk of dropping out of school to go to the streets in search of money. Most of them would end up marginalized and excluded from society. We support them to continue studying and their families so that they do not lack basic food. We contribute to making the right to education available to families without resources. www.noru.org.es

The project supports 32 vulnerable children and young people (and their families) in Ethiopia, enabling them to pursue their studies and avoid dropping out due to financial hardship. The beneficiaries are selected from lists of vulnerable families maintained by Social Services in Ethiopian cities. Thirty students attend public secondary school, and two young people are already at university. The beneficiary of the funds raised will be the NORU Association.
