We are a family that takes care of approximately 60 colony cats in the Torrevieja area in Spain. Colony cats are cats that don't live in a house, but who call a certain place outside their home. We feed these cats and provide medical care. The costs per week for just food is around 40 euros, adding the medical care this is too much for us to fund. We also rescue sick or abandoned kittens and take them in our home to provide care. Once they are ready, we find suitable homes for them.

For more than 30 years, Scooby has been providing shelter to abandoned and mistreated animals. In the 90's we brought to light the atrocities inflicted on galgos (Spanish greyhounds). At present, we are the biggest shelter in Spain, currently homing more than 1000 dogs and cats and 200 farm animals. Our resources are very limited and we depend mainly on the donations. HondenBrokkenMakers (HBM) steriliseert en voert straathonden en biedt ze gratis medische hulp. Op onze eigen farm in Topraisar aan de Zwarte Zee, waar we onze eigen kliniek hebben gerealiseerd, vangen we daarnaast gemiddeld 100 honden op die zich niet kunnen redden op straat; zij zijn gedumpt, aangereden, gewond, verlamd, ziek, uitgehongerd etcetera. Vrijwilligers zijn altijd welkom om te helpen. Alles gebeurt volledig transparant en alle donaties gaan naar de honden.
