La misión de Fundación Alicia y Guillermo es trabajar por, para y junto a las personas mayores, con el fin de hacer frente a las situaciones de exclusión social y soledad no deseada, y promover su desarrollo, participación e inclusión efectiva en la sociedad. A través de diferentes programas, hacemos frente a cinco desafíos que afectan a muchas personas mayores: soledad, desigualdad, exclusión, dependencia y edadismo.

Did you know that 5,000 people get sick with leukaemia each year in Spain, which is the most common childhood cancer, and that despite the progress made, we still lose one in four minors and half of adults? At the Josep Carreras Foundation we have been working for more than 30 years to make leukaemia a 100% curable disease, to find 100% compatible donors for everyone, and to make displaced patients feel at home. With your help, we are unstoppable.

We help and keep safe around 150 animals (dogs and cats), whom were victims of abandonment and/or abuse. We provide them with shelter, food, veterinary care and lots, lots of love; we are their temporary family and home. Phelan-McDermid Syndrome is a genetic condition considered a rare disease. Those affected suffer a developmental delay in multiple areas, especially in the ability to speak. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of people affected by the Syndrome through research, support to families and awareness. Nearly 12 years of war in Syria have left a country devastated, and worse, millions of lives destroyed. But now a devastating earthquake of magnitude 7.6 hits the northwest of the country and the southeast of Turkey on February 6, leaving more than 4,000 lives in both countries. From the Islamic Relief Foundation we are on the ground providing cash grants so that those most affected can meet their immediate needs.
