At AEPMI, we offer financial support to various research projects. In 2025, and since 2023, we have provided a total of €40,000 over three years to the project "Translational and Precision Medicine for Patients with Primary Mitochondrial Diseases: From a Personalized Model in Fibroblasts and Induced Neuronal Cells to Therapeutic Trials in Patients" (MitoCure). Final results will be available in the spring of 2026. In 2023, we provided €16,750 to the Biomedical Research Foundation of the 12 de Octubre Hospital in Madrid for the "Spanish Registry of Mitochondrial Diseases" project. AEPMI has been continuously funding scientific research since 2010. We have invested over €500,000 in research; all of this would not be possible without the contributions of people like you.
