Rivanimal is an animal shelter founded in 2011. It is responsible for collecting stray (lost or abandoned) animals in Rivas-Vaciamadrid and managing its animal protection center (CIPAR Mary Tealby de Rivas-Vaciamadrid), as well as monitoring feline colonies through the C.E.R. program. Our mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate, and responsibly adopt abandoned or endangered animals found in the municipality. In addition, Rivanimal has a network of foster homes and agreements with other shelters that also care for animals. The shelter offers a volunteer program where you can perform various activities or tasks to help the animals. Each year, Rivanimal organizes a series of campaigns aimed at promoting responsible pet ownership, sterilization, and awareness-raising efforts to ensure that animals can be found for adoption.
