Ohana means family in the hawaian language. Our family includes 150 (human and non-human) animals. Everyone has his/her story of liberation, own name and personality Ohana was funded in 2016 in Empoli (Tuscany) when Letizia and Luigi sold all their belongings to buy a land and give shelter to animals saved from explotation and slaughterhouse. The "La Ninna" Hedgehogs Recovery Center is located in Piedmont in Novello, in the province of Cuneo in the Langhe and is a center specialized in curing the European hedgehog, in their preservation in order to reinsert them (when possible) in nature in their habitat. The idea of ​​creating a place to care for and assist the hedgehogs was born following the discovery of an orphaned hog of a few grams "Ninna", taken care of by the veterinarian Massimo Vacchetta.

The Animal Sanctuary Capra Libera Tutti is a place where animals which are usually considered as products are saved from exploitation and slaughter and find refuge. About 400 animals live in complete freedom, here they are not considered neither ingredients nor products. For their maintenance, for medical care and for the preservation of the facilities, constant help is needed to ensure that this place can continue to exist and resist. The total costs exceed 250 euros per day.

At Rifugio Miletta over 200 animals find freedom and peaceful life, living together in peace and harmony, coming from situations of hardship, suffering, and slavery. Rifugio Miletta is also a Wild Live Rescue Center. The costs are enormous and to continue we need help from all people sensitive to animal rights.

Forniamo assistenza, protezione e sicurezza permanente ad asini e muli vittime di malattia, abuso e abbandono. Investighiamo e lavoriamo per impedire atti di crudeltà e maltrattamento e per aiutare gli asini in difficoltà (299 quelli raggiunti e aiutati nel solo 2016). Ci occupiamo di educazione e di interventi assistiti per persone con bisogni speciali. Siamo la sede italiana di The Donkey Sanctuary, ente che da quasi 50 anni opera in tutto il mondo in difesa degli asini.

Porcikomodi is one the the largest, oldest and most populated animal sanctuaries that protects animals rescued from the meat industry in Italy. We closed down an intensive turkey farm and transformed it into a shelter and social space. Thus was born Agripunk, a social refuge for people of all kinds. This group aims to collect the rental fee for the shelter on a monthly basis. The goal? 2000 teamers to fully cover the monthly quota. We can do it???

Sea turtles today are at risk of disappearing forever due to intensive fishing and pollution. Blue Conservancy has been on the forefront , since 2009, to rescue, treat and release healed sea turtles back into the wild.
