I met Christelle and learn about the association during a repatriation of dogs from the refuge of Rhodes. She was very available to answer all my questions. I could also meet her and by this group I would like to make a contribution. The association helps the dogs of the refuge of Kalamata (care, food, repatriation) but also organizes sterilization / castration missions for the dogs of the private individuals.

I discovered RAWS while vacationing on this beautiful island. The animals are there unfortunately often abused. The staff and volunteers of this shelter do their utmost to collect, care for, sterilize / castrate and make them adopted abroad where a better life expects them. 350 dogs are in this shelter designed for 100. but employees and volunteers are great. The shelter is in constant search of material donations but also of volunteers on site or of "flight companions". Thank you for your help!

Nuestra asociación tiene como objetivo mantener un refugio de 400 perros que cuidamos y tratamos diariamente. Somos la única esperanza para estos perros y necesitamos tu apoyo para seguir a su lado.

Animal welfare goes beyond national borders. Every animal deserves a chance at a dignified life. The association operates a shelter in Tunari, Romania. A maximum of 140 dogs can currently be taken in and cared for there. We take care of dogs that have had an accident or are in need, and we constantly rescue animals from the so-called killing-shelters. In addition, we support and organize castration campaigns and maintain a Germany-wide network of around 100 foster homes.

As per Guinnes Book of World Rekords the Smeura is bearing the mournful title of being the biggest animal shelter of the world. Around 5400 dogs and 600 puppies need around 2.7 tonnes food per day. The staff members are doing an inconceivable job - organizationally, physically and emotionally. Driving around with a castration van and pushing the clearing up of the locals. Every euro is needed. Der Tierschutzverein Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. kümmert sich um ca. 700-800 Hunde und Katzen in den nordrumänischen Städten Bistrita und Baia Mare. Wir versuchen die katastrophalen Bedingungen, unter denen die Tiere leben müssen, zu verbessern, initiieren Umbaumaßnahmen, stellen die medizinische Betreuung sowie Futterversorgung sicher und unterstützen die Tierheime mit Sach- und Futterspenden.
